Recording in your browser on iOS
A technical limitation of iOS prevents programs from making standard audio recordings in a web browser. If you are using this program on an iOS tablet such as an iPad, you must therefore record a video, from which this program will extract the audio.
Note: Transparent Language does not store or have access to the video recordings created by this process. Only the sound from the video is used by the program.
To record on iOS:
- Tap the RECORD button in any activity which allows recording.
- A small popup menu will appear. In that menu, select Take video.
- When the video screen appears, tap
. - Speak the word or phrase you want to record into your device.
- Tap
to stop the recording. - Tap Use video to return to the activity. The sound file you created will be extracted and used in the activity, while the video file itself is discarded.
