Kongo, also called Kikongo, is an African language spoken in parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo, and Angola.
Kongo is written in a version of the Latin alphabet and does not use any accent marks or special characters. Therefore, you can type in Kongo the same way you would type in English.
Kongo is a tonal language, meaning that different tones can change a word's meaning. As you work with your Kongo lists, pay special attention to the tones used by the native speakers when they pronounce each word. In many of the activities, you can listen to words as many times as you need to recognize their tones.
