Things to know about Indonesian

Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) is the official language of the Republic of Indonesia, where it is used in government, schools, and the media. It is a member of the Austronesian language family, and is very similar to the Malay language.

Indonesian uses the Latin alphabet, the same alphabet as English. Because Indonesian does not use any accent marks or special characters, you can type Indonesian in activities and assessments the same way you type English.
